Best Ram memories of December 2009

At last! DDR3 prices have finally been reduced and reached parity with DDR2 so no reason to hold back. If you're buying for an Intel system that uses a Core i5/Core i7 processor be sure to buy a memory kit targeted for the platform as they have specific voltages that cannot be exceeded without risking your processor. Remember when installing 4 GB of memory or more you'll want to install a 64 bit version of Windows!
  • Ram memories for Hi end pc's. Kingston HyperX Triple Channel Kit - Memory - 6 GB ( 3 x 2 GB ) - DIMM 240-pin - DDR3 - 1600 MHz / PC3-12800 - CL8 - 1.65 V - unbuffered - non-ECC

    6 GB DDR3 1600 MHz RAM
With the Nehalem's tri-channel memory controller you want to install RAM in three's instead of pairs for optimum performance. Now there are a lot of DDR3 modules available on the market but Intel has included one very large caveat with their Core i7 processors: that the memory voltage not exceed 1.65 volts if you wish to avoid premature processor death. So unless you are feeling particularly adventurous, you will want to be on the lookout for tri-memory kits made specifically for the Core i7. Also note that to use that 6 GB you're gonna need to install a 64 bit version of your OS of choice.

  • Corsair XMS3 DHX 4GB PC3-12800 DDR3 DIMM Memory Kit The Corsair TW3X4G1600C9DHX G is a 4096MByte matched pair of DDR3 SDRAM DIMMs built using Corsair?s high performance heat sink wit speed. This memory has been verified to operate at 1600MHz ath Dual-Path Heat Xchange (DHX) technology. This part delivers outstanding performance in the generation of dual-channel DDR3-based motherboards. It has been tested extensively in popular DDR3 motherboards to ensure compatibility and performance at its rated the low latencies of 9-9-9-24.

  • OCZ Technology 4GB PC3-12800 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM UDIMM Kit This OCZ 4GB AMD Black Edition memory kit contains two 2GB modules tested and qualified specifically for AMD latest Black Edition CPUs for ultimate performance and stability. Featuring the unique AMD OverDrive (AOD) feature, users can unleash the remote stored profiles directly from AMD when used with 790FX / 790GX motherboards, giving users a performance edge with instant plug and play functionality. This highly advanced feature detects your OCZ Black Edition RAM when used in conjunction with certified motherboards and AMD Black Edition Phenom CPUs, then the data is sent to a remote server to download the correct profiles to get your system up and running at its peak.

Hey! Really neat memory cooler! I gotta check this and post a small review soon!
